| Kids on Campus at NVCC, Aug. 4-8
WATERBURY (April 22, 2008) – Registration is now open for the Kids on Campus summer enrichment program at Naugatuck Valley Community College. Available to all kids across western Connecticut who are entering grades 4-10 in the fall, the week-long program offers 30 wide-ranging courses in visual and performing arts, technology and science.
Students will find themselves moving from classrooms to art studios to computer and science labs to kitchens and theaters. They can choose to dance, draw, act, cook, or design anything from fashion to websites – take better pictures and edit them, repair computers, reconstruct a dinosaur from its bones, predict the weather, solve a crime or become a junior architect.
The program runs from August 4-8. Days are broken into morning and afternoon sessions, with courses scheduled from 9am-12pm, 1pm-4pm and 9am-4pm. A lunch recess will be held from 12-1 for anyone staying a full day.
Students have the opportunity to choose their classes on a first come, first served basis. Prices start at $125 and vary by class. The deadline for registrations is July 7.
Kids on Campus is held at NVCC’s main campus at 750 Chase Parkway in Waterbury – off exit 18 on Interstate 84. For more information or to enroll, call (203) 575-8029. Catalogs are also available for download on our website, at www.nvcc.commnet.edu/kids.
