NVCC May Arts Calendar of Events

WATERBURY, Conn. (April 17, 2008) – The following is the May events calendar for Naugatuck Valley Community College:

FRIDAY, MAY 9 & 16

On May 9 at 8:00 PM the revolutionary 60s musical HAIR will rock the Palace Theater in Waterbury. The dynamic cast of 25 Tribe Members, together with a live rock band, turn back time as they interact with the audience, encouraging them to “be-in” and “party-on!”

The show features student and community members and is a joint production of the NVCC Choir and NVCC Opera Ensemble presented by Naugatuck Valley Community College Department of the Arts, the Student Government Association, and Gateway Community College, with major support from The Palace Theater, Fashionista Clothing, and radio station DRC-FM.

Tickets are only $20 and can be purchased at the Palace Theater box office or www.palacetheaterct.org. The show will be repeated at NVCC's Mainstage Theater on May 16 at 8:00 PM.
