Events at NVCC in July

WATERBURY (June 15, 2007) — The following is a calendar of July events at Naugatuck Valley Community College, which serves 35 communities across western Connecticut from Litchfield to Waterbury to Seymour to Southbury and Danbury:

MONDAY, JULY 9

Naugatuck Valley Community College is holding free hour-long information sessions and campus tours on Monday, July 9, at 10:30 a.m. and 5:30 p.m. for those interested in learning more about how its course offerings can help advance their careers through additional training and degree programs.

The sessions will take place at Kinney Hall, Room K505, on the college’s main campus, which is located at 750 Chase Parkway in Waterbury off exit 18 on Interstate 84. No appointment is necessary. For more information, call (203) 575-8040.

MONDAY, JULY 30

On Monday, July 30, Naugatuck Valley Community College begins its 26th season of Kids on Campus, a weeklong summer learning program that shows kids learning really can be fun.

This year the program runs from July 30 to Aug. 3 and offers more than 20 courses. It is open to children across western Connecticut who will enter fourth through 10th grade this fall. Kids on Campus is held on the NVCC campus at 750 Chase Parkway, off Exit 18 on Interstate 84.
