NVCC students, alumni invited to attend Career Fair 2007 on March 26
WATERBURY (March 9, 2006) — Naugatuck Valley Community College is holding “Career Fair 2007” on Monday, March 26, to give its students and alumni the chance to meet with more than 50 employers from around the state that are looking to fill vacancies.
The event will be held from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. in Café West on the fifth floor of the Cistulli Student Center on NVCC’s main campus at 750 Chase Parkway in Waterbury.
Representatives from the health care, public safety, finance, engineering, landscaping, hospitality and manufacturing sectors will be on hand to answer questions and collect résumés.
Some of the participating companies are Bankers Life & Casualty, Coco-Cola Enterprises, Connecticut State Police, the Federal Bureau of Investigation, Home Depot and St. Mary’s Hospital.
There will also be several workshops held throughout the day on résumé writing, cover letters, interviewing etiquette and career planning, which are free but require registration. For information about Career Fair 2007, or to register for a workshop, call (203) 575-8223.
NVCC offers more than 100 associate degrees and certificates to students living in 35 communities across western Connecticut from Litchfield to Waterbury to Seymour to Southbury and Danbury. Its 110-acre campus is located off exit 18 on Interstate 84.
