NVCC employees honored for up to 35 years of service
WATERBURY (Dec. 14, 2006) — Thirty-five Naugatuck Valley Community College employees were honored today for up to 35 years of service to the college and the state of Connecticut.
The faculty and staff were recognized at a ceremony where NVCC President Richard L. Sanders lauded their dedication and commitment to the college and its goals.
One employee — Naugatuck resident Anthony Pruchnicki — was honored for 35 years of service.
Two employees were honored for 30 years of service: Thomaston resident Richard Brunelli; and Middlebury Joseph Cutrali (posthumously).
Four employees were recognized for reaching the quarter century mark: Trumbull resident Barbara Caserta; Waterbury resident William Cone; Waterbury resident Glenda McMillian; and Waterbury resident Cynthia Nackid.
Those honored for 20 years of service were: Oakville resident Lisa Anderson; Naugatuck resident James Barrett; Watertown resident Thomas O’Brien; Wolcott resident Ilene Reiner; Torrington resident William Schinkel; Waterbury resident Allison Terry; Waterbury resident Rose Thomas; Waterbury resident Maritza Tirú; and Naugatuck resident Sandra Valente.
Those recognized for 15 years of service were: Naugatuck resident Sharon Nihill; Middletown resident David Costa; Waterbury resident Hazel Diggs; Danbury resident Elaine Dinto; Woodbury resident Christina Gentile-Renda; Southbury resident Mirvet Muca; Wolcott resident Louise Myers; and Cheshire resident Leonardo Valestra.
Those honored for 10 years of service were: Prospect resident Antonio Biello; Oakville resident Deborah Calo-Rigazio; Oxford resident John Cupole; Naugatuck resident Deborah DiCicco; Unionville resident Elizabeth Frechette; Bristol resident Cynthia Lacouture; Stratford resident Melanie Majeski; Waterbury resident Cheryl Marie; Waterbury resident Kim Milia; Waterbury resident Kesha Ryan; Middlebury resident Antonio Santos; and Waterbury resident Lilly Silva.
Located on Chase Parkway off exit 18 on Interstate 84, NVCC offers more than 100 associate degrees and credit certificates, as well as hundreds of non-credit programs. It serves 35 communities across western Connecticut from Litchfield to Waterbury to Seymour to Southbury and Danbury.
