Naugatuck Valley Community College welcomes the qualified home-educated student seeking
admission to the College. The College is an open-enrollment admissions institution with
selective placement into programs and courses.
The College defines a home-educated applicant as a person who has graduated from a home
schooling program that meets the minimum requirements of his/her local school district.

Preparatory Curriculum (CPC) Suggestions
list provides a list of courses which would enrich the
home-educated student's experience and provide a solid
basis for a positive academic experience at the College.
Course suggestions are based on the State of Connecticut
Board of Education Common Core of Learning standards
and the graduation requirements for area high schools.
The Naugatuck Valley Community College Home-Educated
College Preparatory Credit Evaluation
should be completed and submitted with the completed
Naugatuck Valley Community College Application
for Admission. This information will assist College
Admissions staff with the advising process for course
registration.
